Colombia’s Finca El Poema Micro-Lot presents a remarkable experience for the discerning coffee drinker. From the Grower:

Sebastian Muñoz Duque, who purchased Finca El Poema with his mother in 2016, is a passionate coffee grower with years of experience in the coffee industry. Before running the farm, he worked with La Meseta, a green bean exporter. With this knowledge, he made significant improvements to the farm and began focusing on value-added coffee varieties, including Natural and Honey coffees. This shift was crucial in elevating the farm’s quality, and his efforts have paid off, with the first 8 bags of this unique micro-lot selling fast.

In addition to coffee production, Sebastian’s second passion is tourism. He’s integrated a glamping experience into the farm, where guests can stay in seven mini homes set amongst the coffee plants. His future plans include expanding this with three more homes, blending coffee and tourism for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Anaerobic Process Method:

The coffee from Finca El Poema is processed using an anaerobic fermentation method, where the coffee cherries are fermented in sealed, oxygen-free tanks for a period of 90 hours. This process encourages the development of unique flavor profiles by limiting the exposure to oxygen, allowing the natural sugars in the cherries to ferment in a way that creates deeper, more complex flavors. The result is a clean, smooth coffee with heightened fruity and spicy notes, perfect for those who appreciate a cup with extraordinary depth and clarity.
